Your private licensed guide will walk you arround Pompeii and Herculaneum bringing the ancient cities alive. 

The excursion starts with the visit of Pompeii.
Pompeii founded by the Italics people, the Oscans,  became a colony of Rome in the 1st century BC. The city was buried in 79 AD, during the terrible and devastating eruption of the Vesuvius volcano, in layers of ash and lapillus and lost from memory. In 1748, during the reign of King Charles of Bourbon, excavations began, luring royalty, writers, artists, and ordinary people from everywhere. They had an irresistible curiosity to visit and see for themselves the ancient city as it was brought back to the world, almost intact in its splendor! Walking  on the original streets we pass typical shops and buildings that were used during daily life: bakeries, termopoliums, the public baths, a domus. Reaching the Forum area we are surrounded by: the Basilica,the Macellum, theCapitolium, the Building of Eumachia, the Vespasianus and Apollo Temple. During our tour we also see some of thevictims of the eruption, most of them asphyxiated.
By car we reach Herculaneum
We walk across an elevated walkway enjoying  an amazing view of the excavations below and  the entire Bay of Naples. The ancient town is at about 20m. below the present day city. Below us is part of the ancient beach and the boat houses where they found hundreds of skeletons of the inhabitants that rushed down to the shore attempting to escape by sea.  Entering the excavations you will step back into history: the elegant houses, the shops, the  thermal bathsare all well preserved, with the original frescoes on the walls, fine tiles and mosaic floors. You will not miss the house of Neptune and Amphitrite, where the famous mosaic is kept that gave the name to the house and a beautiful shop close to it, where you can see how a ‘taberna’ was organized, with its counter, its wine amphoras and carbonized wooden furniture. We continue our pleasant stroll through the excavations and reach the Forum area where many  activities took place with fountains, graffiti on the walls and the Sacellum degli Augustali dedicated to the Emperor. In front of you is a huge wall of mud on which the modern town was built. 

For lunch we drive you to a winery located at the foot of Mount Vesuvius with spectacular views over the bay of Naples. You will have the chance, walking through the vineyards, to learn all about the wines made by the winery.
The light lunch includes speciality of the area and the taste of differents wines.

The booking will be confirmed by our Company by a prepayment of the 30% of the service 10 days before the tour using Pay Pal for safe and fast payment.
If you cancel the tour 7 days or more before the service you will be completely refund of your prepayment 
If you cancel the tour less than 7 days before the services 100% of the prepayment will be charged by the company 
For No Show 100% of the prepayment will be charged by the company 
The 70% left of the payment has to be paid on the day of your service, please note we do NOT accept credit card payments but we require cash payment in Euros only. 
Note: For transaction fees there will be a extra charge on the total rate. 
Any cancellation must be made by sending an e-mail.
